Identity Collage

Cristobal Gonzalez_ Identity collage (1) (1) copy.jpg

1. In as much detail as possible record the steps it took to create this project in photoshop. Use complete sentences.

I started by putting Seaside in the background. I wanted to put seaside because that is where I'm from and grew up. Then, I added the door with money, a house, and an electric symbol because I want to be an electrician when I grow up.

2. Define the terms as they relate to Photoshop: Blend modes,  layer masks, and adjustment layers. Give a specific example of how you used each of these in your identity collage.

I used the layer max to put me on Seaside.  I also blend myself so you can see Mexico and my favorite teams.

3. How does your college represent your identity? What
specific images did you use and what do they represent about you?

I put the electric symbol because I want to work as an electrician.  That is my dream job and I will have to study and learn how to work with wires. I also put Barry Bonds because he is my favorite player on my favorite team.

4. What was successful in your project? What was unsuccessful and what would you do differently next time to solve this problem?

I felt successful in showing my identity. I put Seaside because that is where I'm from. I also put Barry Bonds because he is my favorite baseball player and played for my favorite baseball team.

5. Based on the learning target, "Create a multimedia Collage that is an abstract visual representation of symbols that reveal external appearance as well as internal truths about your identity in relation to society by using Photoshop tools such as blend modes, layer masks, adjustment layers, and selection tools. " what level of mastery does your project demonstrate (Exceeds, Meets, Needs Work, minimal understanding). What do you think? Make sure to provide specific evidence.

I feel like I meet the understanding of the project. I could of done a better job on reflecting my idenity. I could of blended more pictures into my project.
